Artist's Comments

Allright now here we go. I don't know about you guys, but I like viewing people's life drawings because it gives me more insight into their basic techniques and how they will approach the whole human figure in such a short span of time. So maybe somebody might find my drawings interesting... These are the few I liked out of the 50-some odd 2 minute drawings we did today in my Analysis of Form class. Conte crayons of various colors on 18 x 24 newsprint.

NUDITY!

*FLAME*

I think you've got human form down, i mean, you do a lot of it already

I'm gone, you can stop kissing my ass now. Will someone still feed him though?
:iconkwalla:
you handle the form and posing and flow and, and -everything- so nicely! :adore: i wanna be in your life drawing class; i'd look over and cheat off you. ;D

i DO find these interesting, and it's hard to believe these were done in just 2 minutes. i like how sketchy they are, and while they do look very lifelike, they don't have the "stiffness" that a lot of life drawings can have, he still has a lot of fluidity, and i dig that. :P (Lick)

wow.. these are beautiful. and drawn in such a short time too. I'm not a good enough artist to seriously say anything else about these drawings though.

So let go, let go, just get in, oh it's so amazing here. It's alright, 'cause there's beauty in the breakdown.

Very good! I just finished my 1st year at ACAD (Alberta College of Art and Design) and life-drawing helped me muchly with human anatomy and movement. These are awesome! They remind me of how Disney artists might sketch their subjects :) (Smile)

i like the flow but it tends to be a bit too...well.. detailed. in all my experience with drawing quick 30 sec to 2 minute poses, start with mass and joints first, then worry about lines...etc. you seem to, in the words of my figure drawing teacher "marry your lines" in that you spent far too much time worrying about if the line goes just where it's supposed to and not just happen.
maybe i'm just going off oddly here but i recommend spending time working with just mass rather than outlines. then again, what do i know.
lovely line work

i find the details very impressive. the curves are gentle, and give a soft sweet feeling to the subject(almost making him seem shy). i'm impressed by the emotion andskill in these quick drawings. Hug yay.

i like them... i would say more but i have not the experience too.. the body is a beautiful form and so much fun to draw.. i cant wait to go to school in august and get into this kind of stuff
